Chef Owner Joey Najolia is a Slidell, Louisiana native and Delgado Culinary graduate who was classically trained in France while mentor Chris Kerageorgio supervised his journey. After his stagier experiences in both Orleans and Pardou, France, Joey then worked under Chef Jonathan Wright at The Windsor Court Grill Room. Following Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath, Joey then went back to La Provence Restaurant as Executive Chef until 2007 when he opened Cafe Lynn Restaurant with his wife Brandi.
Brandi’s restaurant background includes managing and serving at La Provence Restaurant (where she and Joey fatefully met); dining room Captain and trainer at Broussard’s in the French Quarter, and catering management throughout the Mandeville area.
As a husband and wife team, Joey and Brandi opened Cafe Lynn in 2007 in what used to exist as an old Burger King (way back in 1995!). They take great pride in the transformation they made to this location and challenge anyone who questions the “old burger king” stigma to drop in and give us a chance – guaranteed you will be pleasantly surprised. Three children and seven years later, Joey and Brandi are continuing to work as hard as they can to keep Cafe Lynn consistent and relevant as a solid, family run restaurant on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain.
